Hedsor 2011 - Hedsor House

Feathers and fur were all in vogue in Taplow on Saturday at a one-night musical extravaganza in aid of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Popular celebrity venue Hedsor House played host to a jungle-themed festival with a lively line-up presented by Lyrix Organix – one of Glastonbury's leading producers.

Entertainment company Drum Jam got the crowds going early on by bringing 250 of the instruments along for anyone to play, attracting an impressive response.

Other acts to feature through the course of the night included indie rockers Rocketeer and guitar-wielding rapper Joe Driscoll, but the true star of the show came from just up the lane.

Raised in Bourne End, beat-boxer Shlomo entertained the crowds with the loopstation skills which have seen him win global acclaim, having given up astrophysics in favour of a musical career.

To top it all, generous sponsorship from the likes of Weston's Cider and Peroni meant jungle visitors were treated to all-inclusive drinks as well as a feast from Asian caterers Delhicious Foods (ok) which definitely lived up to its name.

Proceeds from Hedsor 2011 will help MSF continue their aid work in countries struck by famine and killer diseases.

A great cause and a great evening – snap up your tickets for the next Hedsor festival fast as those old jungle drums will mean they're bound to be in demand.
